Group Volunteer Opportunities
Revive & Thrive Project welcomes groups from local businesses, faith congregations, and community organizations to help fulfill our mission. Current group volunteer opportunities include:
Customized Volunteer Events
Monthly on Thursday or Friday - Flexible timing
Groups of four or more people welcome! Revive & Thrive Project would love to host your team or group for a volunteer event. Typical activities include:
- Deep cleaning our kitchen including scrubbing our stove and oven, washing the walls, mopping the floors, and making our countertops look like new!
- Creating a healthy snack or dessert for our clients
- Organizing our packaging area for weekly meal deliveries
Group volunteer events must be scheduled in advance, and our monthly schedule tends to fill up quickly. Please contact Carlita Gonzalez, Program Coordinator, at 616-606-3314 or carlita@reviveandthriveproject.org to schedule an opportunity for your group.
Group Packaging Volunteers
Wednesdays 3:00-6:15pm
Groups of three to six people welcome!
Join our packaging team to label, seal, and organize our fresh, delicious meals for home delivery all over greater Grand Rapids. Along the way, create encouragement cards for our clients and meet other wonderful volunteers who make our meal service possible every week.
We require that at least two volunteers from your group stay through the end of the volunteer shift to assist with clean-up.

Support Revive & Thrive Project’s biggest fundraiser of the year! Volunteer groups are needed to assist with setting up the venue, serving tables during the dinner, assisting with our auction, and cleaning up after the event.
Enjoy our farm-to-table dinner and help Revive & Thrive share our mission with the community while raising support for our year-round programs.
Collect Paper Bags with Handles
Any time!
Not able to join us for an in-person volunteer group event? Consider helping Revive & Thrive Project by collecting grocery bags with handles (such as Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Family Fare) bags at your business or organization.
Revive & Thrive Project uses 65 paper bags every week to organize and transport our meals for delivery.
Bags can be delivered to the Revive & Thrive kitchen in Grace Episcopal Church, 1815 Hall St SE on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Call 616-606-3314 to arrange a bag delivery.
